Elite Tankship Pte Ltd ("Elite Tankship") was formed in Singapore on 15th January 2020 by Mangish Kakodkar and Essential Capital Pte Ltd, vastly experienced players in the oil and shipping industry. Its primary activities are Commercial Management, Bareboat and Time-Chartering of Vessels.

 

Mangish Kakodkar has a wealth of experience in the shipping industry in various capacities which began from his journey as a Mariner where he has helmed mostly VLCCs as Master, and thereafter developing his career further with MOL, Maersk and Koch, in key roles covering marine operations and freight trading where he has held senior appointments. Equipped with an extensive network of reputable shipping contacts established over the years, he has been instrumental in the commercial management and chartering of vessels under the Elite Tankship portfolio.

 

Essential Capital Pte Ltd is part of the Essential Group of companies ("Essential Group") who holds investments in a number of sectors, primarily in shipping. It started out in 2012 with the purchase of its first VLCC with full equity, and operated as a floating storage in Malaysian ports. At her peak, Essential Group had fully owned two VLCCs and commercially managed three others, all as floating storages.

 

In Q3 2019, Essential Group embarked on a fresh direction of its shipping business and purchased an IMO2/3 MR tanker, now named MT "Jade Blossom", which is fully owned, commercially managed, and technically operated within its affiliated group of companies.
